What the waitlist collects, and why.
CloudVault is pre-launch. The only information this site gathers is what you enter into the founding-partner waitlist form. This notice explains exactly what that is, where it goes, and how to have it removed.
What this notice covers
It covers the two forms on this website: the founding-partner waitlist and the privacy request form. CloudVault Hosting is not operating yet, so there is no customer account, hosting service, or client data involved — only what you choose to submit through those forms.
What we collect
When you submit the waitlist form, we store:
- The email address you enter.
- The date and time of your submission.
- Which form or page the signup came from.
- Your browser's user-agent string (shortened) and the country Cloudflare associates with your connection.
- A one-way, salted hash of your IP address, used only to limit automated abuse of the form. We do not store your IP address itself, and the hash cannot be reversed back into it.
- A simple waitlist status and, if needed, a private working note about our outreach to you. These are used only to manage the founding-partner list.
We do not ask for, or collect, your name, phone number, or any client information at this stage.
Why we collect it
- To email you — once — when founding-partner onboarding opens.
- To keep the form from being flooded by automated sign-ups.
What we will not do with it
- We will not sell, rent, or trade your email address.
- We will not add you to a general marketing list or send recurring newsletters.
- We will not use it to contact or market to your clients — that is a standing CloudVault policy, not just a waitlist one.
When you make a privacy request
If you use the privacy request form to ask us to show, correct, or delete your data, we store:
- The email address you give us to reply to.
- The type of request — access, correction, deletion, or something else.
- Any details you choose to add.
- The date and time of the request, its status, and a private working note we use to handle it.
- The same abuse-prevention data as the waitlist: a one-way salted hash of your IP address (never the IP itself), the country Cloudflare associates with your connection, and a shortened browser user-agent string.
We use this only to find your data and act on your request.
Who processes your information
Form submissions are handled by small functions running on Cloudflare, and both the waitlist and privacy requests are stored in a Cloudflare database (D1). Cloudflare processes this data as our infrastructure provider. We do not send your information to any other third party.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist entry until founding-partner onboarding, or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first. If CloudVault does not launch, we will delete the waitlist. We keep a privacy request until it is resolved, and only as long afterwards as we need to show we handled it.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted at any time through our privacy request form. We will reply to the email address you give us.
Changes to this notice
Because the site is pre-launch, this notice may change as the service takes shape. The date at the top reflects the most recent substantive revision. A fuller privacy policy will accompany any actual product launch.
Contact
To exercise any of the choices above, or with questions about this notice, use the privacy request form — it reaches the person who handles these requests.
